Ambassador Ricciardone: يقدر الأمريكيون دور مصر الحيوى فى حماية المنطقة وتشجيع الإستقرار والسلام. مصر هي أكبر دولة من حيث عدد السكان فى العالم وهي التي تروج لفكرة السلام الإقليمى والإستقرار فى الشرق الأوسط وأفريقيا. فقواتها المسلحة تؤكد على حماية حرية الملاحة فى قناة السويس لمحاربة الإرهاب.

الإعلام المصري والثقافة تؤثر على العالم الغربي بأكمله وهي الدولة العربية الوحيدة التي لديها انتشار دبلوماسي فى جميع أنحاء العالم. فالأطفال فى المدارس الأمريكية يدرسون حضارة مصر القديمة العظيمة ولذلك نحن نشعر بصلة وإنجذاب للشعب المصري.

أهداف السياسة الأمريكية واضحة: استمرار تقوية العلاقات المصرية الأمريكية ودفع عملية اسلام وتشجيعها للقيام بدورها القيادي فى الإصلاح الإقتصادي والسياسي فى المنطقة بما في ذلك اختيار طريقها المناسب للإصلاح الديمقراطي.

وكما أعرب الرئيس بوش خلال زيارته الي شرم الشيخ الشهر الماضي عن أمله "فى ان تلعب مصر دورا فى حركة الحرية والعدالة."
وأن تبنى الحكومة المصرية على هذ الإصلاحات الديمقراطية والإقتصادية حتى يمكن للشعب المصرى المشاركة فى إختيار مستقبله.

Ambassador Ricciardone: The U.S. administration very strongly opposed the conditionality element of the security assistance, economic assistance package. The President has said this, Secretary Rice has said this and I have said this. Naturally, however, the American people and the Congress want to make sure that our foreign assistance is yielding positive results – we want our friends, certainly including Egypt, to prosper. We want our aid to contribute meaningfully to our friends’ national defense. And we certainly want our aid to help our friends meet their own priorities for political and social reform and advancement, as well as economic reform. We want our friends to prosper, be strong, and be free. That is why we provide aid, and why we care about getting good results.

Gamal Essam El-Din : Ambassador Ricciardone visited speaker of parliament Fathi Sorour on Monday to prepare for the latter's visit to the US next week. My question is Sorour's visit funded by the Egyptian People's Assembly or by a special American-Egyptian parliamentary exchange programme? We need to know more details about this visit and how it can inform Congresspeople better about democratic issues in Egypt and maintain USAID? Thanks.

Ambassador Ricciardone: Thank you, Gamal, for this very timely question. It is wonderful to see the Speaker and members of the People's Assembly travel to the United States to meet their counterparts in the U.S. Congress. It is very important for the leadership of all branches of the Egyptian and U.S. governments to meet and get to know each other. The Speaker is traveling with funding from the government of Egypt. His visit is taking place as part of the Egyptian-U.S. parliamentary exchange program, through which we hope to enhance dialogue, understanding, and cooperation between the legislatures in our respective countries.

Ambassador Ricciardone: الولايات المتحدة فخورة جدا بالعمل الذي قامت به ومازالت تقوم به هنا فى مصر سواء مع الحكومة المصرية او المنظمات غير الحكومية كشركاء فى التنمية الإقتصادية والإجتماعية فى مصر على جميع المستويات.
فكثير من شركائنا عملوا معنا لسنوات كثيرة. وفى نفس الوقت نبحث دائما على التعرف على شركاء جدد. ونحن فخورين بهذه الشراكة بالإنجازات التي حققتها وكثير من هذه الإنجازات واضحة للعين مثل:
انشاء بنية تحتية قوية شملت محطات المياه و الصرف الصحى فى القرى و المدن المصرية.
محطات الكهرباء – التليفونات – انشاء المستشفيات و العيادات الخارجية
انشاء مدارس فى المناطق النائية لتتيح للاطفال التعليم خاصة البنات دون الحاجة الى السير مسافات طويلة للوصول الى اقرب مدرسة . و هذا ادى الى ارتفاع نسبة تعليم البنات.
القضاء على بعض الأمراض نهائياً مثل مرض شلل الأطفال و الجفاف والبلهارسيا
لكن الأن مصر نضجت و تحتاج الى التجارة و الأستثمار حتى تعتمد على نفسها بدلا من اموال المعونات الخارجية.

لديكم الأن مشروع المناطق الصناعية المؤهلة QIZو التى ادت الى زيادة الصادرات المصرية الى امريكا و اوروبا كما وفرت الكثير من فرص العمل للشباب المصرى.

نحن نعتبر مصر دولة محورية فلهذا نحن نريد نجاح مصر فى كل المجالات
المجالات الإقتصادية والإجتماعية والسياسية و لهذا نريد ان المعونة الأمريكية سواء من ناحية الدفاع القومي اى المعونة العسكرية او الإقتصادية ان يكون لهما نتائج جيدة و ناجحة، نريد مصر ان تنجح فى اصلاحتها فى كل المجالات و المسألة ليست مسألة اولويات الحكومة الأمريكية،
المعونة الأمريكية تؤيد وتركز على أولويات الحكومة المصرية والمجتمع المدنى المصرى.

السبعينات عندما بدأنا التعاون معكم فى الإصلاح التعليمي على كل المستويات وكل المجالات من الإبتدائي وحتى الثانوي.

ولن يتم الغاء المعونة الإقتصادية ولكنه يتم تخفيضها بالإتفاق مع الحكومة المصرية حتى تحل التجارة محل المعونات الخارجية. أما المعونة العسكرية فلن يتم تخفيضها.

My question is about the American People, if the US is really considering relations with Egypt very important and vital and really wanna help Egypt to develop, don't you think that this should be with the support of the American people??
And If so, How come Lots of American people don't even know where Egypt is?? and the ones who know think that it is all desert, Camels and Pyramids .. So, don't you think you share a part in Educating the American People about Egypt??
If yes, What did The American Government do regarding that??

Ambassador Ricciardone: Thank you, Mohamed, for your very good question. You are right to suggest that any relationship between two countries is really about the vital connections between peoples, not only governments. I think the U.S. and the Egyptian governments do a great deal to bring our people together, but can always do more. Our Embassy always encourages Americans to visit Egypt and we warmly welcome Egyptians to visit the U.S. Increasingly, private individuals and organizations are also taking the lead in developing important business, educational and cultural relationships. Look at educational exchange between our countries. Egyptian enrollment at U.S. universities increased by 10% last year and the number of American students in Cairo has tripled in just the last three years. Egypt is also a destination for a great many American travelers. Last year, more than 200,000 Americans visited Egypt. Our trade relationship is also growing. The U.S. is proud to be Egypt’s largest trading partner and one of the biggest investors in the Egyptian economy.

Ambassador Ricciardone: أشكرك على ترحيبك بي. أنا أعرف السفيرة المرشحة سكوبى شخصيا وأعرف أيضا انكم سوف ترحبون بها بنفس الطريقة الدافئة التي شعرت بها عندما جئت الى مصر.
مرحلة انتقال وتغيير السفير هي عملية عادية وتقليدية وطبيعية فى دورة الدبلوماسية ولا تعكس اي تغير بالنسبة لسياسة الولايات المتحدة مع مصر.
فالسياسة لا تتغير بتغير السفراء والرؤساء. فبينما أنا فى مرحلة انتهاء عملي فى مصر بعد 3 سنوات قضيتها هنا، ننتظر موافقة الكونجرس الأمريكي على ترشيح السفيرة الجديدة. ولكن من المهم ان نعرف انه ليس هناك وقت محدد للموافقة على سفير من قبل الكونجرس لا يستطيع احدا التنبأ بموعد انتهاء الكونجرس من عمله فيما يتعلق بهذا الموضوع وأتوقع ان ستمر فى عملي هنا لعدة شهور أخرى.
بالنسبة للسؤال الثاني فأنا دائما ما أشعر بالسعادة عند الحديث مع الشباب المصري المتحمس الذكي الذي يرغب فى ان يصبح رائد وقائد فى العمل المجتمعى وأنا هنا أردد ما يقوله الرئيس دائما عن تشجيعكم وتأييدكم فى كفاحكم لتحقيق اهدافكم وان تصبحوا قادة فى مجالاتكم.

ايمن : ما الهدف الحقيقي من وراء هذة المحادثة ورجاء لا تقنعني بانها محاولة لتوطيد العلاقات المصرية الامريكية فان الكل يعلم ان العلاقات الدولية لا تقوم الا على المصالح المتبادلة فقط وبناء على ذلك فان عدو اليوم قد يكون صديق المستقبل والعكس صحيح فان صديق اليوم قد يكون عدو المستقبل؟ارجو المعذرة للاطالة ولكن لدينا مثل عربي يقول اذا عرف السبب بطل العجب.

Ambassador Ricciardone: Yasser, thank you for taking the time to chat with me today. I do try to improve and strengthen and deepen the relationship between Egypt and the United States each and every day. It is a great honor to be the American ambassador to Egypt. And to be honest in my answer, I don’t think one government or one person can ever do enough to improve the relationship between any two countries. It takes all of us who care about peace, democracy and prosperity in our countries to work together. Let me give you some some numbers and facts that show, I think, that are countries are cooperating and working together. The United States is Egypt’s largest single country trading partner. In 2004 our trade in both directions was only a little over 4 billion dollars. Last year, the trade in both directions was over 7 ½ billion dollars. The Fulbright Commission in Egypt runs one of the oldest Fulbright programs in the world. Since 1949, over 5000 Egyptians have participated. In this academic year, 105 Egyptians are studying at American universities and 31 Americans are conducting research and teaching in Egypt. Fulbright offers programs for Egyptian and American students, professors, professionals, artists, scientists, researchers, teachers and religious leaders.

قد قمت فى الأسبوع الماضي بإلقاء محاضرة من خلال المؤتمر الدولي للتعليم فى واشنطن وهذه بعض النقاط التي تحدثت فيها: ( النص الكامل للمحاضرة على موقع السفارة )

أنا أيضا أظن أني لابد ان أشكرك على صبرك معى اليوم.
لكن دعنى اقول لك ان لدينا العديد من البرامج الخاصة بالشباب. فمثل كل سفارات الولايات المتحدة فى العالم لدينا العديد من البرامج والأنشطة الفعالة الخاصة بالتعليم فى الولايات المتحدة. في شراكة مع الأمدايست نحن نوفر ورش عمل اسبوعية وجلسات استشارية للأفراد.
وقد قمنا هنا في مصر بانشاء موقعنا على الـ Face book للطلبة الراغبين فى التعليم فى الولايات المتحدة. وقد بدأنا هذا الموقع فى نوفمبر ووصل عدد الأعضاء فى هذه الفترة البسيطة الى 1700 عضو.
ونحن على اتصال يومي معهم لنتبادل الآراء والفرص ونوفر معلومات عن امتحانات الـSAT وطلبات التقديم للبرامج المختلفة وكيفية التمويل.

نحن ايضا نتصل بطلبة الجامعات من خلال برنامجنا للمنح التي تقدم الى الطلاب من سن 14 – 18 . ولدينا الآن 200 طالب مقيدين فى 6 مدن مصرية.

فالولايات المتحدة لديها على الأقل 25 برنامج مختلف من خلال تبادل التعليم بين مصر وأمريكا. وهي قائمة طويلة وقيمة.

YES الخاصة بتبادل الشباب من المرحلة الثانوية حيث حصلوا على منح كاملة لسنة دراسية واحدة وتشمل الإقامة والدراسة فى الولايات المتحدة.

وهذا العام 30 طالب من مدارس مصرية يشتركون فى هذا البرنامج.
بالنسبة لطلبة الجامعات فقد قمنا مؤخرا بإطلاق مبادرتين فى الشرق الأوسط وجنوب لآسيا العام الماضي
فهناك 18 طالب مصري يدرسون فى الولايات المتحدة تحت هذه المبادرة.
وهناك برنامج آخر جديد تحت مبادرة الجامعات المحلية وهو يمول تعليم ألف طالب مصري لمدة 3 سنوات فى الجامعات المحلية وسوف يبدأ هذا الخريف.

وأخيرا، فهيئة فولبرايت لديها برنامج من أقدم البرامج فى العالم. وأنا كنت يا أحمد أدرس تبع فولبرايت فى إيطاليا.
منذ عام 1949 أكثر من 5000 مصري اشتركوا فى برامج فولبرايت. فى السنة الدراسية الحالية، 105 مصري يدرسوا فى الجامعات الأمريكية وكذلك هناك 31 أمريكيا يجرون ابحاثهم ويقوموا بالتدريس فى مصر.
فهيئة فولبرايت تقدم برامج للطلبة والأساتذة والمحترفين والفنانين والعلماء والباحثين والمدرسين والقادة الدينيين.

Ambassador Ricciardone: Thank you, Asmaa, for your questions. You have asked three very good questions. Let me start my answer by saying that I strongly believe and have confidence in Egypt and Egyptian-American relations. I am especially optimistic about the vitality of Egypt, Egypt’s future and the American-Egyptian partnership. The benefits of our partnership are also quite clear, I think. We Americans value Egypt as a rock of stability in the region, and we still expect that Egypt’s powerful cultural leadership will point the way to the emergence of greater freedom and democracy in the region. We value what Egypt did for the modern world by achieving a breakthrough for peace. I believe we all benefit when we work together to assist the Palestinians and Israelis to find a just and comprehensive solution to that tragic conflict of so many years.

A good bilateral relationship between countries, I believe, is defined by all the ways we have agreed on common interests and goals. We look at Egypt as a pivotal country that is opening up, not only economically, but is opening culturally and politically as well, to fuller participation of its citizens in national life and the global economy. We have seen this country come a long way but we know that Egyptians – especially young Egyptians -- and their leaders aspire to much greater accomplishments. We applaud you and we support you in those ambitions. We can neither offer you easy answers or quick, magic solutions, nor could we impose a “Made in America” policy upon you . Rather, we ask you, how can we help? How can we support you and help you achieve your aspirations for an open democratic system?

And we are hearing some answers, through our close daily consultation not only with your Government, but also with individuals like you, and civil society organizations that are growing in number and strength.

Ambassador Ricciardone: ear Lamia, thank you for your question and your interest in studying in the United States. Right now more than 1700 Egyptian students are studying at American universities and colleges. This is 10% more than last year and we expect even more next year. If they can do it, I certainly think you can. The best thing you can right now is to inform yourself about schools that teach your specialty, find out what tests are required for admission, become familiar with the application process and learn about financing and scholarship opportunities. We have a website that I can recommend because it can help you find all of this information. It is http://educationusa.state.gov. On that website, you can search for schools by your area of academic interest and learn about the application process. There is also a section on scholarships and financing. I also suggest that you join our Facebook group for those interested in studying in the United States. You can join it by searching Facebook for Study USA Egypt. Lastly, you can also attend one of the many information sessions offered by the EducationUSA advising service right here in Cairo. The sessions are at the AMIDEAST office. The schedule of advising sessions is available on the Facebook group or you may call AMIDEAST and ask them. The phone number at AMIDEAST is 19263.
I do hope you choose to study in America because it benefits both you and the people of my country. You will have a chance to experience life as a student in another culture, improve your professional skills and make lifelong friends. The people of my country will also have a chance to meet you, learn more about Egypt and get a better understanding of your country by interacting with you. And, if I may boast, I think the American theater is a very good place to learn stage lighting. In fact, I did a bit of acting and other stage work myself as a student! Most universities have theatres. We have small urban theaters, which do new and innovative stagings. We have big theaters in our major cities which produce for large audiences. We also regional theaters all over the country, which nurture young playwrights and reflect the diversity of the American experience on their stages. I think you would find it very exciting and interesting. I encourage you to do it.

abdelgwadahmeed : يسعدنى انى من اعضاء رابطة المشاركين ببرنامج الزائر الدولى وكان لى شرف زيارة الولايات التحدة الامريكية وكانت تجربة فى غاية الاهمية غيرت اغلب الافكار والمفاهيم عن الشعب الامريكى والولايات المتحدة الامريكية اولها اننا لو اخذنا بالتجربة الامريكية بالبلاد العربية لكان الحال مختلف عما هو علية الان
لان سر قوة وتماسك امريكا فى التنوع والتعدد فى كل شى ومراعاة ظروف كل ولاية وعادتها وتطبيق القانون واحترامة فضلا ىعن تعدد الثقافات
عفوا عن الاطالة ويبقى لى سؤال
لماذا لا يتم تفعيل العلافات الامريكية المصرية بشكل افضل مما هو علية لان هناك فجوة فى هذا الامر
ذلك لانة مطلوب على المستوى الشعبى انا يقابلة من الطرف الاخر مستوى شعبى مماثل اى ان تكون العلاقة مع المجتمع المدنى والشعبى الامريكى مساحة اكبر مما هى عليها الان لان الان مستوى حكومى امريكى واسع مع مجتمح مدنى مصرى اوسع

Mohammed : Hello and Good Evening,

On a scale of 1 to 10, how good do you classify the Actual US-Egyptian relations in particular after there was some rumors of tension between both countries?

Ambassador Ricciardone: Dear Mohammed, I think it's even more impossible to measure or "rate" anything as richly, beautifully, maddeningly complicated as a bilateral national relationship on a simple scale of 1 to 10, as it is to rate the complex relationship between any two human beings. (In the case of US and Egypt, we have some 300 million and 75 million... how do we even start?)

we can measure some things: Trade is booming between the two countries -- over $7.7 billion in 2007 vs $4.3 billion in 2004, for example. We can measure numbers of visitors in both directions -- over 200,000 Americans visited Egypt last year, still far too few (I wish every American could come here). We issued 1,664 student visas last year to Egyptians -- far, far too few! I don't know the figures for how many tens of thousands of Americans visited the wildly popular King Tut exhibitions traveling throughout the US -- my friend Zahi Hawass could tell you that. How many attended concerts in Egypt by American rock bands? how many new University partnerships were established between the two countries? How many Americans went to see The Yacobian Building in New York, or bought copies of "Chicago" or the works of Naguib Mahfouz? How many Americans have come here to Egypt to learn Arabic, and return to the US in love with Egypt?

Ahmed Aly : You said yesterday to Mona el Shazly that you accept 70 of Egyptians who apply for U.S. visa.
I don't believe it!, I keep applying for the visa, and you keep refusing granting it to me.
Also, in everytime I apply for the visa over 95% of applying people are simply refused - I see it by my eyes-, and the 5% who are accepted, are simply foreign people!

WOULD YOU EXPLAIN THIS GREAT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN EGYPT AND U.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ambassador Ricciardone: Dear Ahmed,
thank you for your many questions, including this one, and for your patience. I do regret that we were unable to grant your visa request. I do not know your particular case of course (and a webchat is no place to discuss it), but I can tell you that most of that minority (yes, only 28 %)of applicants who do not qualify for visitor visas fail to do so because they can not prove that they really intend to return to Egypt after a temporary stay in the US. Often, such applicants do qualify when they apply again in the future.

We really did approve 72% of visitor visa applications last year -- and we approved 85% of student visa applicants.

So I wish you better luck in the future, and I hope we will see you in the US one day.

And, our relations really are important and strong. We do have differences, as between any two partners (and even between friends) with shared vital interests -- but together, we are very good at managing them.

Shady Ramadan : I know that whether you or any one else at your position are applying the policy of the united states. My comment is : I hope all the Ambassadors of the US in Egypt are as tolerent, respectful and smart as you. I believe you're giving a good face of the united states. I'm sure after you leave your position (as many other american politicians) You'll talk differently regarding the US policies. But I totally respect that even when you are representing the US policies, you're not doing it rudely.
You're a smart man and we hope that all US ambassadors to our country are as poliet and smart as you. We hope to have people who respect us and having a dialogue with us rather than telling us what to do. Sorry you will leave at the end of term of Bush administration

We like to think of ourselves as friendly and even more than "tolerant" of diversity -- we are positively proud of our religious, ethnic, and cultural diversity. We think it is a source of strength and vitality for our country. I hope you notice for example that our last two Secretaries of State have been African Americans, and two of our last three Secretaries of State have been women. And in our current elections, a woman and an African American are among the principal contenders for the Presidency!

هناك جسور من التعاون بين مصر والولايات المتحدة ونحن نقدر دور مصر الإستراتيجي في عملية السلام فى الشرق الأوسط ونعتبرها مثل لابد وان تحتذى به جميع الدول العربية. هناك شراكة مصرية امركية فى المجال الإقتصادي والتجاري والتعليمي. فمصر لديها حضارة عريقة وعامرة بشبابها الطموح ذو القدرات الكبيرة والذي نتنبأ له بمستقبل باهر.

I'd like to know how do you see the future egyptian american relations after President Bush leaves the office. Do you think it will proceed on, in cases of democratic or republican administration?
Also, you participated in the opening of Michael Mounir's new organisation, does that mean you support his vision regarding what he says is persecution of christians in Egypt?

Ambassador Ricciardone: Dear Hanan, thank you for your good questions.
I am certain that Egyptian-American relations will continue to be strong and to receive both broad public attention and attention from the top political leaders in both countries. Why? because both partners have a strong stake in the relationship, and in our truly strategic, mutual interests.

I admire Michael Mounir as an Egyptian who has returned to his native country full of hope and energy and a very positive vision -- one that includes building freedom and democracy in Egypt for all. But of course, my presence at the inaugural reception of his group no more implies that I share all his views, than it implies I share the views of the Nasserist gentleman who also spoke at that event. Our moral and sometimes more tangible support for Egyptian civil society activists, operating within Egyptian law, does not mean we share all views, nor does it mean we impose our own views.
For our official reporting and views on the question of religious freedom in Egypt, I would refer you to our annual report to Congress on this subject as well as our annual Human Rights Report. In those reports we strive to be as factual and objective as possible.

هلى تتفق معى فى ان سماتك الشخصية قد ساعدت الى حد كبير فى تجاوزالعديد من الازمات فى العلاقات المصرية الامريكية وان هذا سيصعب من مهمة السفير الجديد و خاصة بعد التصريحات الاخيرة لها ...حيث اننا كنا نشعر بانك مصرى الهوية و عاشق لمصر و اننى عن تجربة شخصية اشهد لشخصك بالكفاءة العالية حيث اننى تلقيت دعوتك الى حفل عشاء بمنزلك بعد عودتى من الولايات المتحده الامريكية و مشاركتى فى برنامج الزائر الدولى ان هذا البرنامدج قد ساعدنى تماما على تغيير نظرتى السلبية للشعب الامريكى بل اصبحت عاشق لهذا الشعب المضياف و هذا ما نقلته الى اصدقائى ففى مصر رغم عدم اتفاقى فى كثير من الاحيان مع بعض السياسات الامريكية ! و ادعوك ان تنقل للسفيرة الجديدة تجربتك الثرية حتى تستطيع فهم الشعب المصرى جيدا و لتبدا من حيث انتهيت انت ... و لشخصك انت فاننى اقول لتعلم ان لك اصدقاء فى مصر عددهم يفوق اصدقائك فى الولايات المتحده الامريكية نفسها .... مع خالص تمنياتى بالتوفيق والنجاح ى مهمتك الجديدة و ارجو ان تقبل دعوتى و زيارتى فى اى وقت تعود فيه الى مصر فمرحبا بك اخ و صديق

Ambassador Ricciardone: Dear Walid, I recommend that you read our annual Human Rights report to the US Congress. The 2007 update will be sent to Congress and will be available on our website within the next two weeks. You also can find on our website our other annual reports to Congress on such human rights issues as Religious Freedom and Trafficking in Persons. I believe you will find such reports are stringently factual and objective. If you see any errors of fact or interpretation, please do bring them to our attention.

Besides reporting the facts as we understand them, we work hard not only with the Government of Egypt, but also with civil society groups and individuals to encourage and support real improvements in Egypt's progress toward greater democracy and freedom. We can not impose our policies or views on Egypt and we do not try to do so, but we do energetically and respectfully do all we can, within Egyptian law and with all due sensitivity and respect for your culture and society, to support Egyptians' aspirations for greater freedom and democracy.

ezzaldin asran : الدعم الامريكى لنظم تنكل بشعوبها فى العالم العربى وتهدر حقوق الانسان هو ما يزيد الكره لامريكا اكثر مما تقوم بها امريكا من حروب فى العالم وصورة امريكاسوف تكون افضل عندما تفكر جيدا فى السلام للشعوب العربية وتدعم المعتدلين انا انسان عادى ولكن احب ان اضيف ان الاسلام هو دين سلام وحب ولكن من خلال المعتدلين فقط

Ambassador Ricciardone: نحن نحترم جميع الشعوب العربية وجميع الأديان. فالدين الإسلامي يعد أسرع الأديان انتشارا فى امريكا فهناك الكثير من الأمريكيين المسلمين.
فنحن نرحب بدعاة الأزهر الذين يسافرون الى الولايات المتحدة كل عام لتبادل الأفكار والآراء. ولكن الإرهابيون هم الذين يروجون لفكرة محاربة امريكا للإسلام ونحن نحارب الإرهابيين المتطرفين الخارجين عن القانون والشرعية.

وكما قال الرئيس بوش مرارا وتكرارا ان الديمقراطية لا تفرض على الشعوب لكن الديكتاتورية هى التي تفرض عليها أما الديمقراطية فهي هبة من الله.
