Guest Biography: Amer Kayani, a career member of the United States’ Senior Foreign Service, Class of Counselor, is the Regional Senior Commercial Officer for Egypt, Lebanon, and Libya, and is the head of the office of the Foreign Commercial Service at U.S. Embassy Cairo. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Regional Senior Commercial Officer in Turkey where he led U.S. trade promotion efforts in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, North Cyprus, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. He speaks Arabic, Hindi, Punjabi, Turkish, and Urdu. He is the recipient the U.S. Department of Commerce’s highest honor, Gold Medal, for distinguished achievement in the Federal Service, and a Bronze Medal from the International Trade Administration.

السيرة الذاتية لضيفنا ‏: عامر كياني من كبار رجال السلك الدبلوماسي، وهو المستشار التجاري والاقليمي في مصر، ولبنان، وليبيا، ورئيس مكتب الخدمات التجارية فى السفارة الامريكية بالقاهره. وقبل توليه عمله بالقاهرة كان يشغل منصب المسئول الاقليمي التجاري في تركيا حيث كرس جهوده لتقوية العلاقات التجارية الامريكية مع ارمينيا واذربيجان وجورجيا وشمال قبرص وتركيا وتركمانستان واوزبكستان. يتكلم العربية والهندية والبنجابيه والتركية والأوردو. و هو حاصل علي ميداليه ذهبية للانجاز المتميز في الخدمة الاتحادية التى تعد اعلى وسام شرف بوزاره التجارة الامريكية، بالاضافة الىالميداليه البرونزية من ادارة التجارة الدولية.
