Ambassador Patterson Visits Sultan Hassan Mosque

Cairo – U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Anne W. Patterson visited Sultan Hassan Mosque recently, accompanied by the noted writer Gamal al-Ghitani.

"Cairo’s rich and vibrant history tells the story of Egypt’s tradition of pluralism and embrace of new ideas," said the Ambassador. 

The Ambassador was pleased to encounter a group of American tourists while visiting the mosque.  “Welcome back to Egypt!” she said, while shaking hands.
