New Undergraduate Exchange Program with the U.S.

Cairo - The Embassy of the United States of America is pleased to start accepting applications for the Near East and South Asia (NESA) Undergraduate Exchange Program. The program provides opportunities for undergraduate university students, as well as students in their final year of secondary school, from the Middle East and South Asia to study in the United States for one semester or one academic year, depending on program of study and the university at which one is studying.

Participants will be enrolled full-time in undergraduate course work chosen from the host institution’s existing curriculum. Students will be encouraged and given the opportunity to participate in community service activities. Additionally, an internship related to the participant’s field of study will be offered for all full academic year participants.

Application forms and application*n instructions can be downloaded at the U.S. Embassy website (http://egypt.usembassy.gov/). Complete applications are due to the U.S. Embassy, Cairo by February 21, 2008. Applications should be either e-mailed to: CairoStudyUS@state.gov or hand-delivered in a sealed envelope to the following address:
